Flourish Education are recruiting for a SEND Teaching Assistant to join a Primary School in the Bartley Green area. This is a full-time role starting as soon as possible and continuing until the end of the academic year.
The role will involve supporting pupils with a range of SEND needs across the school. The successful candidate will need to be flexible, as they may be required to support different pupils and year groups depending on the needs of the school. Personal care will also be required as part of the role.
Responsibilities as a SEND Teaching Assistant:
· Supporting pupils with a range of SEND needs
· Providing 1:1 and small group support where required
· Being flexible to support different pupils and classes across the school
· Helping pupils access learning and classroom activities
· Supporting pupils with their social, emotional and academic development
· Assisting with personal care where required
· Working closely with class teachers and the wider SEND team
· Helping to maintain a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment
Required Skills and Experience:
· Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable
· Experience supporting children with SEND within a school setting
· Experience supporting children with personal care needs
· Flexible and adaptable approach to supporting different pupils and settings
· A calm, patient and nurturing approach
· Strong communication and teamwork skills
· Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
· Reliable and proactive approach
