Job Description

Flourish Education are recruiting for a nurturing and proactive Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in the Selly Oak area for the full academic year from September. This full-time role involves providing 1:1 and small group support to children across EYFS and KS2 with SEND.

Responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant:
  • Deliver 1:1 and small group support to children with complex needs
  • Support with visuals, objects of reference and sensory exploration
  • Implement learning activities designed by the SENCO
  • Monitor and report progress
  • Follow bespoke timetables and deliver structured activities
  • Assisting with personal care

Required Skills and Experience as Teaching Assistant:
  • Experience as a Teaching Assistant, 1:1 SEND TA, or Learning Support Assistant
  • Experience working in UK Primary School settings
  • Relevant Level 2 or Level 3 qualification
  • Confidence using sensory strategies and visual aids
  • Understanding of EYFS and Key Stage 1 (KS1) curriculum

Working as a Teaching Assistant for Flourish Education also offers you excellent benefits, including:
  • £88.92 to £95.00 per day which equates to £17,339.40 to £18,525.00 per annum based on working 5 days a week for a full school year
