Job Description

We are recruiting a Teaching Assistant role to work in a Primary School based in Bromsgrove. This Teaching Assistant's role is to work closely with the class teacher to support a safe, engaging and positive learning environment across Early Years and KS1.

The school is seeking a candidate with experience delivering intervention support in core subjects, both in small groups and on a one-to-one basis. Familiarity with the Read Write Inc phonics programme would be an advantage, as this is used throughout the school.

This full-time position (08:30 – 15:30) is due to start after Christmas until Easter 2026.

Required Skills and Experience for this Teaching Assistant role

  • Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification
  • Good curriculum knowledge of Early Years and KS1 (Key Stage One).
  • Experience working in Nurseries or Primary Schools as a Teaching Assistant or LSA
  • A DBS on the update service or issued in the last 12 months
  • UK school experience
  • A minimum of 2 excellent references
