Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding full-time role?

Flourish Education are working in partnership with a friendly and supportive First School in Bromsgrove, who are seeking a committed Teaching Assistant to join their Year 3 team.

This full-time Teaching Assistant position involves providing general classroom support within a Year 3 class. The successful candidate will work alongside the class teacher to support whole-class learning, deliver small group interventions, and provide additional support to pupils where needed.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive Teaching Assistant who enjoys helping children reach their full potential in a nurturing and engaging learning environment.


As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to support the delivery of engaging lessons, promote positive behaviour, and contribute to the day-to-day running of the classroom. The school is looking for a caring, reliable, and adaptable individual who can build positive relationships with pupils and work effectively as part of a team.

As a Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the class teacher with the delivery of lessons across the Year 3 curriculum.

  • Providing general classroom support to ensure pupils remain engaged and make good progress.

  • Delivering small group interventions to support pupils in literacy, numeracy, and other curriculum areas.

  • Providing additional support to individual pupils when required.

  • Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting a safe, inclusive learning environment.

  • Assisting with classroom preparation, resources, and displays.

  • Supporting pupils' social, emotional, and academic development.

  • Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback to the class teacher.

  • Working collaboratively with teaching staff and other members of the school team to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.


Required Skills and Experience for this Teaching Assistant role:

  • A minimum Level 2 qualification in a relevant field.

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant within a primary school.

  • Experience supporting children across Key Stage 2 is desirable.

  • A positive, caring, and enthusiastic approach.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.

  • A proactive attitude and willingness to support across all areas of the classroom.

  • A DBS on the Update Service or issued within the last 12 months.

  • A minimum of two excellent professional references.
