Flourish Education are seeking to recruit a Teaching Assistant with experience of, and qualifications in British Sign Language (BSL)to Key Stage 1 and 2, for a school based in Staffordshire.
This school is a special school that caters for students with sensory impairments most of their students are blind, visually impaired, deaf or hearing impaired. The school strives for each of their students and members of staff to have lots of communication, lots of positivity and be enthusiastic in everything that they do. Not only are the students learning, but the school is very forward thinking in developing their teaching methods and way to support and engage their children.
They seek a teaching assistant who will demonstrate a passion for SEN students, have the ability to inspire students and have an awareness of curriculum developments in British Sign Language across key stages 1 and 2. You will either be BSL level 1, BSL Level 2 or have a degree in Sign Language or Deaf Studies and Hearing Impairments with experience so as to be able to converse in BSLin a special school and able to communicate with students in Key stage 1 and 2.
