Flourish Education are recruiting a Teaching Assistant to work in a Primary School located in northeast Coventry. The school is a tight community and wants to develop motivated, engaged and happy children. Our client is looking for a dedicated and passionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join their staffing team.

The school is looking for a long-term SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team to provide support to a child in Year 1. The child has complex needs, selective mutism, behavioural and learning difficulties.

Our client is looking for someone to work in their school on an ongoing basis 3 to 4 days per week starting in the new school year in September.

Required Skills and Experience for this Teaching Assistant role:

  • Minimum Level 3 Qualification
  • UK school experience
  • Ability to liaise with the class teacher, SENDCO, and other agencies to meet the needs of the pupil.
  • Build effective relationships with pupils and staff.
  • Experience supporting children with SEN.
  • Experience within KS1.
  • Effectively manage the behaviour and engagement of the child.
  • Provide personal care.
