Flourish Education are recruiting for a Reception Teaching Assistant to work full time from December up until July 2024 in a Catholic school in the Dudley area. The ideal teaching assistant would act as a general support TA, providing 1:1 support when needed and small groups phonics intervention.
The working hours are Monday- Friday, 8:30-3:30. By working full time, you would be able to form a consistent and regular routine, which provides stability with income and allows you to become part of the staff team.
The school would ideally like to meet the successful candidate prior to taking on the role.
To apply for this Teaching assistant role, you will need the following:
⦁ A relevant teaching assistant qualification (Level 2 or above).
⦁ At least 6 months of experience in schools
⦁ Knowledge of schemes is desirable but not a necessity such as or Read Write Inc or White Rose.
⦁ Good communication, working effectively as part of a team.
⦁ DBS on the update service or issued in the last 12 months.
⦁ Minimum of 2 excellent references required.
Responsibilities for the Teaching assistant role:
⦁ Potentially conducting phonics intervention
⦁ Ensure the safety of the children in the class.
⦁ Contribute to a safe, engaging, and positive learning environment.
⦁ Work closely with the class teacher
⦁ Potentially conduct small group work when needed.
⦁ Potentially work 1:1 with pupils
