A large and welcoming 3-form entry Primary School in Dudley is seeking a committed Teaching Assistant to join their team from after Easter through to the end of the academic year in July.

This is a full-time position based in a Year 3 class, supporting teaching and learning across Key Stage 2. You will work closely with the class teacher to provide both whole-class support and targeted small group interventions.

In this Teaching Assistant role, you will play an important part in helping pupils to access the curriculum, build confidence, and make progress in their learning. You will support the delivery of lessons, work with small groups to reinforce learning, and contribute to a positive and engaging classroom environment.

This school is looking for an enthusiastic, proactive, and reliable Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting children’s learning.

As a Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the class teacher with the delivery of lessons in a Year 3 classroom

• Working with small groups of pupils to reinforce learning and provide targeted support

• Assisting pupils with varying abilities, including those who may need additional support

• Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in learning

• Helping to prepare classroom resources and maintain an organised learning environment

• Supporting pupils’ academic and social development

To be successful in this Teaching Assistant role, you will need:

• A relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification

• Previous experience working within a primary school setting

• Ideally, experience supporting pupils within Key Stage 2

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• A patient, supportive, and proactive approach

• The ability to work effectively as part of a team

• A minimum of 2 relevant references
