Job Description

We are recruiting a teaching assistant role to work in the Erdington area in a 2-form entry “Good” Primary School. This teaching assistant's role is to work closely with the class teacher to support a safe, engaging and positive learning environment in Reception (EYFS).

The school is looking for a candidate with experience providing small groups and 1:1 intervention for core subjects.

This role will start after October half term 2024 and continue to July 2025 full-time (8:30-3:30).

Required Skills and Experience for this Teaching Assistant role

  • Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification
  • Good curriculum knowledge of EYFS
  • Experience working in Nurseries or Primary Schools as a Teaching Assistant or LSA
  • A DBS on the update service or issued in the last 12 months
  • A minimum of 2 excellent references

We are currently working with schools in Walsall, Kingstanding and Erdington who all require day-to-day Learning Support Assistants to help support their students and permanent teaching staff.
