Job Description

Teaching Assistant required for a welcoming and supportive Primary School in Gloucester, rated Good by OFSTED. This is a fantastic opportunity to secure a long term role with a September start, working full time in a nurturing environment where staff development and pupil progress are highly valued.

Previous UK school experience is essential, and this role is ideal for an experienced TA looking to make a positive impact while supporting pupils across the curriculum.

Job Role
 
  • Support pupils across Key Stage 1 (KS1) in line with the National Curriculum
  • Work closely with the Class Teacher to deliver engaging and inclusive learning activities
  • Provide classroom support and deliver interventions for individuals and small groups
  • Assist with preparing classroom resources and maintaining a positive learning environment
  • Support behaviour management strategies and encourage pupil development
  • Undertake general TA responsibilities as part of the wider school team

Required Skills and Experience
 
  • Experience working as a Teaching Assistant within a UK school setting
  • Previous UK school experience is essential
  • Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent
  • Experience within a Primary School environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of the National Curriculum
  • Experience supporting Key Stage 1 (KS1) pupils
  • Confident supporting the Class Teacher and adapting learning where required
  • Experience in a long term role or working full time within education settings
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Experience working as a TA or Classroom Support Assistant is desirable
