Teaching Assistant needed for flexible supply work in Hereford
A Teaching Assistant is required for day-to-day and short-term supply in a variety of welcoming and inclusive Primary Schools in the Hereford area. As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll support learning across Key Stage 1 (KS1), Key Stage 2 (KS2), and Early Years (EYFS), working closely with the Class Teacher to deliver high-quality education. Job Role:
  • Support the Class Teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management
  • Work 1:1 or with small groups to support learning
  • Assist across EYFS, KS1, and KS2 depending on school needs
  • Help manage behaviour in line with school policies
  • Provide general classroom support including preparing resources
  • Follow safeguarding procedures and uphold school values
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Relevant Level 2 or Level 3 qualification
  • Recent experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, or Classroom Support in a Primary School
  • Knowledge of the National Curriculum across Reception, Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2)
  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills
  • Must have previous UK school experience
  • A flexible and proactive approach

Location:
This Teaching Assistant position is based in Hereford and is easily commutable from Leominster, Bromyard, Ledbury, Ross-on-Wye, and Hay-on-Wye. The Primary Schools we work with are accessible by public transport and offer onsite parking.
