Teaching Assistant needed for flexible supply work in Hereford
A Teaching Assistant is required for day-to-day and short-term supply in a variety of welcoming and inclusive Primary Schools in the Hereford area. If you’re looking for flexibility and the chance to choose when and where you work this September this role is perfect for you. As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll support learning across Key Stage 1 (KS1), Key Stage 2 (KS2), and Early Years (EYFS), working closely with the Class Teacher to deliver high-quality education. Job Role:
  • Support the Class Teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management
  • Work 1:1 or with small groups to support learning
  • Assist across EYFS, KS1, and KS2 depending on school needs
  • Help manage behaviour in line with school policies
  • Provide general classroom support including preparing resources
  • Follow safeguarding procedures and uphold school values
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Relevant Level 2 or Level 3 qualification
  • Recent experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, or Classroom Support in a Primary School
  • Knowledge of the National Curriculum across Reception, Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2)
  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills
  • Must have previous UK school experience
  • A flexible and proactive approach

Location:
This Teaching Assistant position is based in Hereford and is easily commutable from Leominster, Bromyard, Ledbury, Ross-on-Wye, and Hay-on-Wye. The Primary Schools we work with are accessible by public transport and offer onsite parking.
