Teaching Assistant

Job Description

We are recruiting a SEND teaching assistant role to work in the Kingstanding area in a 1-form entry “GOOD” OFSTED rated Primary School. This teaching assistant's role is to work on a 1:1 basis with a child in Year 2 with Autism and challenging behaviour.

Our client is looking for a candidate with experience with Autism and challenging behaviour and any additional qualifications around SEND is desirable. 

This role will start in January 2025 and continue to July 2025 full-time (8:30-15:30).

Required Skills and Experience for this Teaching Assistant role

  • Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification
  • Good knowledge and experience of working with SEND
  • Experience working in Nurseries or Primary Schools as a Teaching Assistant or LSA
  • A DBS on the update service or issued in the last 12 months
  • A minimum of 2 excellent references
