Job Description

Flourish Education are recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to work within a ‘Good’ rated Primary School in Longbridge. This school is a 2-form entry Primary school, who has recently opened a SEND resource base.

Our client is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support in a full-time, long-term position. The school are happy to work to the ideal candidate’s strength, the school would be seeking someone who can support across, Early Years, Key stage 1 or Key Stage 2. The ideal candidate for this role would be someone who has excellent behaviour management skills.

This role is a classroom support role and is not a 1-1 SEND support role.

As a Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting teachers in delivering the National Curriculum in Key Stage 1 (KS1), Key Stage 2 (KS2), Reception, and Early Years (EYFS).
  • Assisting with classroom management and providing individual support for pupils.
  • Helping to create engaging lesson plans and activities.
  • Supporting pupils with additional needs, ensuring they can access the full curriculum.
  • Working collaboratively with the teaching team to create a positive learning environment.
  • Providing feedback to teachers on pupil progress and development.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Experience as a TA in a UK Primary School is essential.
  • Qualifications: Level 2 or Level 3 in a relevant field.
  • A strong understanding of the National Curriculum, especially in KS1, KS2, Reception, and EYFS.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Working as a Teaching Assistant for Flourish Education also offers you other excellent benefits, including:
