Are you a dedicated and enthusiastic EYFS/KS1 Teaching Assistant looking for a full-time, long-term role?

A welcoming and supportive primary school in Malvern is seeking a committed EYFS/KS1 Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis. This role will begin after half-term and run on a long-term basis until the end of the academic year.

This EYFS/KS1 Teaching Assistant role is based across Early Years and Key Stage 1, providing both SEN and general classroom support. You will work closely with class teachers and support staff to help create an inclusive, engaging, and supportive learning environment. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting young learners, particularly children with additional needs, to access the curriculum and reach their full potential.

The school is looking for a patient, nurturing, and proactive EYFS/KS1 Teaching Assistant who can build positive relationships with pupils and confidently support learning and development in the classroom.

As an EYFS/KS1 Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting pupils across EYFS and KS1 with their learning and development.
  • Providing 1:1 and small group SEN support where required.
  • Supporting the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management.
  • Helping children to develop socially, emotionally, and academically.
  • Encouraging positive behaviour, independence, and engagement in learning.
  • Supporting children with additional needs to access the curriculum.
  • Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff.
  • Creating a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.


To be successful in this EYFS/KS1 Teaching Assistant role, you will need:

  • Previous experience working within EYFS and/or KS1 (essential).
  • Experience supporting children with SEN (desirable).
  • A caring, patient, and adaptable approach.
  • A good understanding of early learning and child development.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A reliable, professional, and committed attitude.
