Job Description

Are you an experienced Intervention Teaching Assistant looking for a new opportunity? We are currently seeking a dedicated Intervention Teaching Assistant to join a GOOD rated First School in Redditch.

 

This full-time role provides the opportunity to work one to one with students as well as in small groups, delivering targeted interventions to support their learning and development. This is primarily based in Key Stage 1 classes however may require work in Lower Key Stage 2.

 

If you have a passion for helping children reach their full potential and have strong behaviour management skills, this could be the role for you. This full time role is due to start as soon as possible on a long-term basis.

 

Job Role:

Deliver one to one and small group interventions for students who require additional support

Support the class teacher with planning and delivery of interventions aligned with the National Curriculum

Work with students in both Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2) to support their academic progress

Manage student behaviour effectively, ensuring a positive and focused learning environment

Collaborate with other teaching staff to monitor and track student progress during interventions

 

Required Skills and Experience:

Previous experience as an Intervention Teaching Assistant in a Primary School setting

Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum for KS1 and KS2

Excellent behaviour management skills to maintain a positive learning atmosphere

Experience delivering one to one or small group interventions for students

A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to working with children

Relevant qualifications or training in supporting students with additional educational needs is desirable, but not essential

 

Working as an Intervention Teaching Assistant for Flourish Education also offers you excellent benefits, including:

£85 to £100 per day, equating to £16,575 to £19,500 per annum based on working 5 days a week for a full school year

Location:

This position is based in Redditch, easily commutable from surrounding areas such as Bromsgrove, Alvechurch, Studley, and Worcester. The school offers excellent transport links, and onsite parking is available.
