Job Description

Are you a dedicated Teaching Assistant looking for flexibility, variety, and the opportunity to support pupils in a friendly Primary School environment? This role offers day-to-day and long-term supply work, allowing you to enjoy a healthy work life balance while gaining experience across Reception, Key Stage 1 (KS1), and Key Stage 2 (KS2). As a TA, you’ll work closely with the Class Teacher to deliver engaging lessons and help children reach their full potential.
Job Role:
  • Support the Class Teacher in delivering lessons in line with the National Curriculum
  • Work with small groups or one-to-one to assist learning across EYFS, KS1, and KS2
  • Provide tailored support to pupils with additional learning needs
  • Help create a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment
  • Assist with classroom preparation and organisation
  • Promote positive behaviour and engagement in learning
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent
  • Previous UK school experience is essential
  • Experience as a Teaching Assistant, TA, or similar role in a Primary School
  • Knowledge of the National Curriculum and ability to support across EYFS, KS1, and KS2
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
  • A positive and adaptable approach to working in different school settings

Location:
This Teaching Assistant position is based in Ross-on-Wye and is easily commutable from Lydbrook, Cinderford, Ledbury, Coleford, and Monmouth. Many of the Primary Schools we work with offer onsite parking and have excellent transport links from surrounding areas.
