We are recruiting a Teaching Assistant role to work in a Primary School based in Smethwick . This Teaching Assistant's role is to work closely with the class teacher to support a safe, engaging and positive learning environment in a Key Stage One class.
The school is looking for a candidate with experience providing small groups and 1:1 intervention for core subjects. The school use Read Write Inc, so experience with this phonics scheme would be desirable.
This role will start after the Easter Holidays in April 2025 and continue to July 2025 and is a full time role (8:30-3.30, Mon to Fri).
Required Skills and Experience for this Teaching Assistant role
Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification
Good curriculum knowledge of Key Stage 1 (KS1)
Experience working in Nurseries or Primary Schools as a Teaching Assistant or LSA
A DBS on the update service or issued in the last 12 months
UK school experience
A minimum of 2 excellent references
