Job Description

We are recruiting a Teaching Assistant to work in a Primary School based in Stafford. This Teaching Assistant's role is to work closely with the class teacher to support a safe, engaging and positive learning environment in a Year 1 class.

This role will start January 2026 and continue to July 2026. The working hours are 8:30-3.30. There will also be a potential option for a temp-to-perm role.

Required Skills and Experience for this Teaching Assistant role:
  • Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification.
  • Good curriculum knowledge of Key Stage 1 (KS1)
  • Experience working in Nurseries or Primary Schools as a Teaching Assistant or LSA.
  • A DBS on the update service or issued in the last 12 months.
  • UK school experience.
  • A minimum of 2 excellent references.
  • Recent UK school experience.
