Job Description

We are recruiting for a nursery Teaching Assistant to work in a Primary School based in Stafford. This Teaching Assistant role will involve working closely with the class teacher to support a safe, engaging, and positive learning environment in a Year 5 class.

The school is seeking a candidate with experience delivering both small group and 1:1 interventions, alongside providing personal care support when required.

This role will start September 2026 and continue until December 2026. The working hours are 8:30am – 3:30pm. There is also the potential for this role to become a temp-to-perm position.

Required Skills and Experience for this Teaching Assistant role:

  • Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification
  • Good curriculum knowledge of KS2
  • Experience working in Nurseries or Primary Schools as a Teaching Assistant or LSA
  • A DBS on the update service or issued within the last 12 months
  • UK school experience
  • A minimum of 2 excellent references
