Job Description

We are recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to work in a Primary School based in Stafford. This Teaching Assistant role will involve working closely with the class teacher to support a safe, engaging, and positive learning environment in a Year 5 class.

The school is looking for a candidate with experience providing small-group and 1:1 interventions in core subjects.

This role will start in October 2026 and continue until March 2027. The working hours are 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. There is also the potential for a temp-to-perm position for the right candidate.

Required Skills and Experience for this Teaching Assistant role:

  • Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification
  • Good curriculum knowledge of Key Stage 2 (KS2)
  • Experience working in nurseries or primary schools as a Teaching Assistant or LSA
  • A DBS registered on the Update Service or issued within the last 12 months
  • A minimum of two excellent references
  • Recent UK school-based experience
