Are you a dedicated and adaptable Teaching Assistant looking for a full-time role in a supportive primary school?

A welcoming and friendly primary school in Stourport-On-Severn is seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to provide general classroom support across two key stages. This is a full-time role starting as soon as possible and continuing until July, offering a varied and rewarding position within a school known for its positive environment and strong team ethos.

This opportunity would suit a flexible and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant who is confident working across different age groups. The role is split between supporting a Year 4 class in the mornings and working within a Reception class in the afternoons, so experience across both KS2 and EYFS is essential.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will support teaching and learning across the school day, helping pupils to stay engaged and make progress. You will work closely with class teachers and staff to provide effective support, adapting to the needs of different pupils and classroom environments. The school values teamwork, creativity, and a nurturing approach to learning.

As a Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting learning in a Year 4 classroom during the mornings.
  • Assisting within a Reception class in the afternoons, supporting early development and play-based learning.
  • Helping to deliver engaging activities set by the class teachers.
  • Providing general classroom support to pupils of varying abilities.
  • Supporting pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Working collaboratively with teachers and support staff.
  • Promoting a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.


To be successful in this Teaching Assistant role, you will need:

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant across EYFS and KS2.
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to working across different year groups.
  • A positive, patient, and proactive attitude.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
  • A good understanding of supporting both structured and play-based learning.
