Job Description

Teaching Assistant wanted for a rewarding and flexible role within a supportive Primary Schools in Tewkesbury, easily commutable from Cheltenham, Bishop’s Cleeve, Worcester, Ledbury, and Malvern. Job Role:
  • Assist the Class Teacher in delivering engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum
  • Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to pupils across EYFS, KS1, and KS2
  • Help create a positive and inclusive classroom environment in a busy Primary School setting
  • Support the Class Teacher with classroom management and resources
  • Encourage and promote positive behaviour in line with school policies
  • Assist in assessing and tracking pupil progress
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Previous UK school experience as a Teaching Assistant, TA, or Learning Support Assistant
  • Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent)
  • Experience working across Reception, EYFS, Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2)
  • Strong understanding of the National Curriculum
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt to different Primary School environments quickly and effectively

This Teaching Assistant position is based in Tewkesbury and is easily commutable from Cheltenham, Bishop’s Cleeve, Worcester, Ledbury, and Malvern. Most schools offer onsite parking and have good public transport links.
