Job Description

We are working with a local school in Walsall who are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant (TA).
This role is to provide 1:1 support for a Year 7 pupil with a physical disability, helping them to access the curriculum and participate fully in school life.

This TA Role will include:
  • Working closely with the class teacher and SENCo to support the pupil’s learning and personal care needs.
  • Promote the pupil’s independence, inclusion, and confidence in all school activities.
  • Assist with mobility.
  • Build a positive, trusting relationship with the pupil and their family.
  • Work as part of a supportive team dedicated to creating a nurturing and inclusive environment.
Required Skills and Experience for this Teaching Assistant Role in Walsall:
  • Experience working with children with additional needs is desirable but not essential.
  • A patient, caring and flexible approach.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant) are an advantage but not essential for the right candidate.
