Are you a passionate Year 2 Teaching Assistant looking for a role in a supportive and welcoming Primary School? Flourish Education is recruiting for a fantastic Teaching Assistant position in a Year 2 class at an Ofsted-rated "Good" school in West Heath.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing whole class support but elements of 1:1 and small group support may be required. This Teaching Assistant position is a long-term, full-time position starting ASAP and is continuing until July 2025.
As a Year 2 Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the Class Teacher with delivering the Key Stage 1 (KS1) curriculum.
- Providing whole-class support during lessons and activities.
- Assisting pupils with 1:1 and small-group interventions as needed.
- Helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment.
- Supporting the development of pupils' social and academic skills.
- Adhering to school policies, including safeguarding practices.
Required Skills and Experience:
- A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in supporting teaching and learning.
- Previous experience working in a UK school, ideally in KS1.
- Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- A commitment to promoting the welfare of children and young people.
