Job Description

We are recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to work in a primary school based in Wolverhampton. This Teaching Assistant role involves working closely with the class teacher to support a safe, engaging and positive learning environment in a Year 6 class.

The school is looking for a candidate with experience providing small-group and 1:1 interventions in core subjects who would be confident supporting pupils with SATs preparation.

This role will start in October 2026 and continue until April 2027. The working hours are 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. There is also the potential for a temp-to-perm opportunity for the right candidate.

Required Skills and Experience for this Teaching Assistant role:

  • Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification.
  • Have good curriculum knowledge of Key Stage 2 (KS2).
  • Have experience working in nurseries or primary schools as a Teaching Assistant or LSA.
  • Hold a DBS on the Update Service or have one that was issued within the last 12 months.
  • Be able to provide a minimum of two excellent references.
  • Have recent UK school experience.
