Are you a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with additional needs?

Flourish Education is working with a welcoming one-form entry primary school in Wolverhampton, rated ‘Good’ by OFSTED, to recruit a committed SEND Teaching Assistant for a 1:1 classroom-based role.


Starting in September 2026 and continuing until Easter 2026, this is a full-time position working Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 3:30pm.

About the Teaching Assistant Role:
You will be providing 1:1 support to a child in Year 2 with Autism and challenging behaviour, working closely alongside the class teacher to ensure they are fully supported in their learning and day-to-day development. This is a classroom-based role where you'll be an integral part of the teaching and support team.

The Ideal Teaching Assistant Will Have:
  • Previous experience supporting children with Autism and challenging behaviour
  • A calm, patient and adaptable approach to support and behaviour management
  • A strong understanding of inclusive education and the needs of pupils with SEND
  • A genuine passion for helping pupils thrive both academically and emotionally
  • Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification
  • Experience working in Nurseries or Primary Schools as a Teaching Assistant or LSA
  • A DBS on the update service or issued in the last 12 months
  • A minimum of 2 excellent references
Working for Flourish Education as a Teaching Assistant (TA) you will receive
  • Competitive Salary – between £88.92-£100 per day depending on experience, which equates to £17,9.40-£19,500 per annum based on working 5 days a week for a full school year

Our client is based near central Wolverhampton and as such is easily commutable from all areas of Wolverhampton as well as Willenhall, Penn, Bilston, Fallings Park, Willenhall, Aldersley, Wombourne and Codsall. The school offers on-site car parking.
