We have an exciting opportunity for a Teaching Assistant to join our team in a friendly and supportive Primary School in Worcester. This role is for a Full-Time Teaching Assistant in Reception. This will be a 1:1 role to support with Speech and Language. It is an as soon as possible start for the full academic year. The school is in a small village school on the outskirts of Worcester.

This Teaching Assistant role will include:

  • Support the teaching and learning in the classroom, working closely with teachers to deliver the National Curriculum.
  • Assist with Key Stage 1 (KS1), Key Stage 2 (KS2), and EYFS (Reception) pupils, ensuring each child receives tailored support.
  • Provide 1:1 or small group interventions to enhance pupil progress.
  • Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents as required.
  • Contribute to the overall wellbeing and development of the pupils.

Required Skills and Experience for this Teaching Assistant role:

  • Previous UK school experience is essential, preferably in a Primary School setting.
  • Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and experience with Key Stage 1 (KS1), Key Stage 2 (KS2), or EYFS (Reception) pupils.
  • Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication
  • Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative when needed.
