Are you a Teaching Assistant with KS2 experience, looking for a new role?

A welcoming and supportive primary school in Worcester is seeking a committed Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis from after the February half-term, until the end of the academic year.


This Teaching Assistant role involves supporting a Year 3 class, working closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging lessons and provide in-class support. In addition, you will be responsible for leading small-group intervention sessions when required, helping pupils to consolidate key skills and make progress in their learning.

As a Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting teaching and learning within a Year 3 classroom.

  • Working alongside the class teacher to support lesson delivery and pupil engagement.

  • Leading small-group intervention sessions to support pupils’ progress when required.

  • Providing individual support to pupils who may need additional help with learning.

  • Assisting with classroom organisation, resources, and daily routines.

  • Promoting a calm, safe, and inclusive learning environment.

  • Supporting pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development.


To be successful in this Teaching Assistant role, you will need:

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or supporting children in a primary school setting.

  • Experience supporting KS2 pupils, particularly Year 3, is desirable.

  • Confidence leading small intervention groups.

  • A positive, patient, and proactive approach.

  • The ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff.

  • A reliable and committed attitude.
