Teaching Assistant

Job Description

Flourish Education are recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to work in a school in the Wythall/Hollywood area on a long-term, full-time basis.

This role is either based in Early Years (EYFS) or Year 3 dependant on experience/ suitability of the successful candidate. This position will include general help in the classroom as well as other tasks including intervention groups and reading groups depending on which year group this is based in.

The school are looking for someone with prior experience in either Early Years or Lower Key Stage 2, and the experience of delivering small group work or SEN experience is a bonus.

This Teaching Assistant position is due to start ASAP after the Easter holidays, until the end of the academic year in the first instance.

The Role
As a Teaching Assistant you will be expected to;
Support the class teacher either in EYFS or Year 3.

Small group interventions for Reading, Phonics or Maths.

Reading groups

SEN support where needed.

To apply for this Teaching Assistant role, you will need:
Minimum Level 2 qualification or equivalent

Experience in a Primary School or Nursery setting

Patient approach to teaching support

Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)

Up to £95 per day which equates to £18,525 per annum based on working 5 days a week for a full school year.

This role is based at a primary school in Wythall and is accessible from areas including Hollywood, Studley, Redditch, Bromsgrove, Maypole, Longbridge and Northfield. Most schools have excellent transport links and offer onsite parking.
