Are you a dedicated and adaptable Teacher looking for a new role after Easter?

A welcoming and supportive Primary school in Cradley Heath is seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Year 1 Teacher to work full-time, starting after Easter until July, with the potential to extend into the new academic year.

This role is ideal for an experienced Teacher, with relevant Key Stage 1 experience, who can confidently plan, and deliver high-quality lessons and maintain a positive, engaging learning environment. 


As a Year 1 Teacher, your responsibilities will include:
  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons as a Year 1 Teacher in line with the national curriculum.
  • Taking full responsibility for a Year 1 class during the maternity cover.
  • Experience planning and delivering phonics sessions.
  • Assessing, tracking, and reporting pupil progress.
  • Creating a warm, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
  • Working collaboratively with teaching staff, support staff, and senior leaders.
  • Supporting pupils’ emotional wellbeing and development alongside academic progress.

To be successful in this Year 1 Teacher role, you will need:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Previous experience working as a Year 1 teacher or within KS1.
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • A flexible, reliable, and professional approach.
  • The ability to adapt quickly within a new school environment.
