Flourish Education is working in partnership with a friendly and supportive two-form entry primary school in Nuneaton to recruit a dedicated Year 1 Class Teacher for a full-time, long-term role starting in September.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a welcoming school with a strong team ethos, where you'll be supported to deliver engaging lessons and help pupils build the foundations for lifelong learning.

As a Year 1 Class Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, creative lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 National Curriculum
  • Assess, mark and provide constructive feedback to support pupil progress
  • Monitor attainment and adapt learning to meet the needs of all pupils
  • Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment
  • Manage behaviour effectively in line with the school's behaviour policy
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues and senior leaders
  • Build positive relationships with parents and carers, keeping them informed of pupil progress and wellbeing

To be successful, you'll need:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Previous experience teaching within Key Stage 1
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • A positive, proactive approach with a genuine passion for helping children succeed
  • The ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons that inspire and challenge pupils

This Year 1 Class Teacher role is based in Nuneaton and is easily accessible from Bedworth, Coventry, Hinckley, Atherstone, Rugby and the surrounding areas. The school benefits from excellent transport links and offers onsite parking.
