Job Description

Flourish Education are recruiting for a Year 1 Teacher to work in a local partnership Primary School in Smethwick. The school is a small, good-rated school, who believe in providing a secure learning environment, to ensure that all pupils can achieve their potential.

This Year 1 Teacher role is a part-time, long-term position, the hours would be Wednesday afternoon, Thursday and Friday All day. This role would be to cover the SENCO, whilst they are completing out of the classroom responsibilities. As this is a cover role, there will be no planning requirements.

The responsibilities of this Year 1 Teacher Role:

  • Delivering pre-planned lessons to a Year 1 class.
  • Part-time schedule: Wednesday PM, Thursday and Friday all-day.
  • Ensuring excellent behaviour management within the classroom.
  • Working in partnership with the class Teacher and Teaching Assistant.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are encouraged to apply.
  • Experience within Key Stage 1
  • Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum.
  • Exceptional classroom management skills.
  • Ability to inspire and engage young learners.
