Are you an experienced and committed Key Stage One Teacher looking for a long-term teaching opportunity after Easter?

A welcoming and well-regarded Primary School in Alcester is seeking a confident and experienced Year 2 Class Teacher to join their team on a long-term basis, working full-time. This role is to start after the Easter holidays, until the end of the academic year.

This Year 2 Teacher position will involve full class teaching responsibilities, including planning, preparation, assessment, and reporting. The school is looking for an experienced KS1 teacher who can quickly establish strong routines, deliver high-quality teaching, and support pupils’ academic and personal development. Previous Key Stage 1 experience is essential for this role.

As a Year 2 Class Teacher, your responsibilities will include:
  • Planning and delivering engaging and effective lessons in line with the Year 2 curriculum.
  • Taking full responsibility for the class, including assessment, marking, and reporting.
  • Creating a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment.
  • Monitoring pupil progress and adapting teaching to meet individual needs.
  • Working collaboratively with other teachers, support staff, and senior leaders.

To be successful in this Year 2 Teacher role, you will need:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Proven experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally in Year 2.
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • The ability to plan and deliver high-quality lessons independently.
  • A professional, reliable, and proactive approach to teaching.
