Flourish Education is working with a welcoming two-form entry primary school in Coventry who are looking for a confident and adaptable teacher to join their Year 2 team, working 5 days a week.

This role would suit a teacher who enjoys creating engaging learning experiences, building positive relationships with pupils and helping children develop both academically and personally. You will take on full class teacher responsibilities, including planning, delivering and marking, while becoming part of a supportive school environment.

As a Year 2 Teacher, you will:
  • Plan and deliver engaging, creative and effective lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 National Curriculum.
  • Follow and adapt pre-planned work to meet the needs of all learners.
  • Assess and mark pupils' work, providing constructive feedback to support progress.
  • Adapt your teaching to support different abilities, learning styles and individual needs.
  • Manage behaviour confidently and consistently in line with school expectations.
  • Work collaboratively with support staff, colleagues and senior leaders.
  • Promote pupils' emotional wellbeing alongside their academic development.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils and contribute to a positive school community.

To be successful in this Year 2 Teacher role, you will need:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Previous experience teaching within Key Stage 1.
  • A strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and assessment expectations.
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • The ability to plan, deliver and adapt high-quality lessons.
  • A flexible, reliable and professional approach.
  • The confidence to quickly settle into a new school and build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
