Job Description

Flourish Education are working with a welcoming primary school in Balsall Common who are looking for a dedicated Year 2 Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced KS1 teacher, although ECTs are also welcome to apply. You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons, assessing pupil progress and creating a positive classroom environment where every child can thrive.

As a Year 2 Teacher, you will:

  • Plan, deliver and assess engaging KS1 lessons
  • Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development
  • Have a strong focus on phonics and early reading
  • Manage behaviour confidently and consistently
  • Monitor and record pupil progress
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues
  • Create an engaging and inclusive learning environment
  •  
We're looking for:
  • QTS
  • Experience teaching in KS1
  • Good knowledge of the KS1 curriculum
  • Strong understanding of phonics and early reading
  • Excellent classroom management skills
  • A calm, confident and adaptable approach
  • Strong planning and organisational skills
