Flourish Education is currently working with a ‘Good’ one-form entry school in the Great Barr area who are looking for a teacher to join them in September. The school aims to create a caring and positive environment to help the children to realise their potential. The staff work together to provide a range of classroom-based learning opportunities which are supplemented with trips to broaden the education experience.

In this role the class teacher would be expected to plan, mark and assess in line with the school policy, providing engaging and exciting learning for pupils. To apply for this Year 2 teaching role it would be advantageous to have previous experience working within a Key Stage One class – although this is not essential. Within the Year 2 role, the candidate would be expected to attend CPD relevant to the role and report progress to relevant parties. As this is a long-term role, commitment to the position is essential to ensure continuity for pupils. ECTs are welcome to apply although there would not be the capacity to complete an induction.

For this Year 2 Class Teacher role, you will:

  • Hold a relevant teaching qualification (QTS- Qualified Teaching Status)
  • Have experience working in Key Stage 1 (KS1) in schools in the UK.
  • Effectively manage behaviour in the class.
  • Create a supportive and engaging learning environment.
  • Work well in partnership with the class Teaching Assistant.
  • Be able to provide a minimum of 24 months of references (at least one from your most recent employer).

The teacher role is based in the Great Barr area and is accessible by car and public transport. There is parking on site for teachers and support staff. It is possible to access school from the surrounding areas of Sandwell, Wednesbury, Walsall, Oldbury, Smethwick, West Bromwich and North Birmingham.
