A welcoming and supportive Infant school in Studley is seeking a confident Year 2 Class Teacher to join their team from Easter until the end of the academic year in July. This is a part-time role and would be ideal for both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced teachers with a strong understanding of Key Stage 1.

This Year 2 Class Teacher role will involve delivering engaging and effective lessons to a well-supported class, following pre-prepared planning. The successful candidate will focus on high-quality teaching, pupil engagement, and maintaining a positive classroom environment, without the additional responsibility of lesson planning.

As a Year 2 Class Teacher in this role, your responsibilities will include:
  • Delivering engaging and structured lessons to a Year 2 class.
  • Following the school’s pre-prepared planning to ensure continuity of learning.
  • Supporting pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Managing behaviour effectively in line with school policies.
  • Assessing pupil progress and providing feedback where required.
  • Working collaboratively with teaching assistants and other staff members.
  • Maintaining high expectations for learning and behaviour.

To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • A recognised teaching qualification (QTS).
  • Experience or a strong understanding of teaching within Key Stage 1.
  • Confidence delivering lessons to Year 2 pupils.
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • A proactive, enthusiastic, and professional approach.
  • The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
  • A commitment to supporting children’s learning and development.
