Job Description

Flourish Education is currently recruiting for a Year 2 Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive Primary school in the Rubery area on a part-time basis in the new year. Rated ‘Good’ by OFSTED, the school prides itself on nurturing each child’s unique talents and maintaining a strong culture of reflection and continuous improvement.

This part-time role, working 3 days per week (Monday - Wednesday) is set to begin in February 2025 and will run until July 2026, with the potential to continue into the academic year. Suitable candidates will be expected to plan, and work alongside the other class teacher. 

As the Year 2 Teacher, your responsibilities will include:
  • Planning and delivering engaging, creative, and differentiated lessons
  • Working closely with a dedicated Teaching Assistant, and other classroom teacher
  • Creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment
  • Safeguarding all pupils and ensuring their wellbeing
  • Marking work in line with the school’s policies
  • Participating in staff meetings and playground duty rotas

Requirements for this Year 2 Class Teacher role:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or status as an Early Career Teacher (ECT)
  • Experience teaching in either KS1 or KS2
  • Strong behaviour and classroom management skills
  • Recent, positive references from school-based experience
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
