Flourish Education are recruiting for a committed Year 2 Teacher to join a welcoming one-form entry Primary School in Aldridge, rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for a cheerful and inquisitive Year 2 class, supported by a dedicated teaching assistant. Pupils are enthusiastic and well-behaved, benefiting from a curriculum that balances academic rigour with creativity and enrichment opportunities. The school places a strong emphasis on phonics, literacy, and numeracy, ensuring pupils are well-prepared for their transition into Key Stage 2.

This position would suit an experienced Class Teacher with excellent behaviour management skills, a passion for delivering engaging lessons, and the ability to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.

The Year 2 Teacher Role:

  • Full class responsibilities including planning, preparation, and marking
  • Deliver engaging lessons in line with the KS1 National Curriculum
  • Support the learning and development of all pupils, including those with additional needs
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports emotional and academic growth
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – Essential
  • Proven experience teaching within Key Stage 1 (KS1)
  • Strong understanding of the KS1 National Curriculum
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Ability to differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners
  • Experience teaching in Early Years or Lower KS2 is desirable
Working as a Year 2 Teacher with Flourish Education offers:
  • £168.80 to £232.57 per day (£32,916 to £45,352 per annum based on 5 days per week)
