Search jobsFlourish Education are currently working with a school near Harborne that are recruiting a Teaching Assistant to support two children in Year 2. Our client is a larger than average ‘good’ school where staff work closely with parents and governors to provide the best outcomes for their children.
The school need a committed Teaching Assistant to provide 1:2 visually impaired support. Responsibilities will include enlarging resources, support in making lessons accessible and encourage students learning and development. An ideal candidate will be nurturing and patient.
Previous experience providing visually impaired support isn’t essential as training can be provided by the schools supportive staff team.
This Teaching Assistant role is to start ASAP due to sickness, and could continue until the end of the academic year.
To apply to this Teaching Assistant role, you will need the following:
· Relevant Level 3 qualification or equivalent
· Experience working in a EYFS or KS1 setting
· To be enthusiastic about working with children
· To be nurturing and patient
Responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant:
· Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO
· Enlarging resources where needed
· Provide 1:2 support
· Encourage children’s development and improve their access to the curriculum
