Flourish Education are working in partnership with a friendly one-form entry primary school in Tipton, who are seeking a dedicated Year 4 Class Teacher to join their team after Easter until July.
This full-time position includes full class teacher responsibilities and would suit a confident practitioner who is comfortable taking full ownership of planning, teaching, and assessment. As a one-form entry school, you will be the sole Year 4 teacher, so the ability to work independently while collaborating with the wider staff team is essential.

As a Year 4 Class Teacher, your responsibilities will include:
- Taking full responsibility for a Year 4 class, including planning, preparation, marking, and assessment.
- Delivering engaging and high-quality lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
- Differentiating learning to meet the needs of all pupils within the class.
- Creating a positive, structured classroom environment that promotes both academic progress and positive behaviour.
- Assessing, tracking, and monitoring pupil progress to inform future planning and interventions.
- Preparing pupils effectively for end-of-year expectations within Lower Key Stage 2.
- Building strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
- Contributing to staff meetings, school events, and the wider school community.
Required Skills and Experience for this Year 4 Class Teacher role:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or due to obtain QTS (ECTs are welcome to apply).
- Experience teaching within Key Stage 2, ideally in Year 4.
- A secure understanding of the KS2 curriculum and assessment requirements.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- The ability to plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons independently.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A DBS on the Update Service or issued within the last 12 months.
- A minimum of two excellent professional references.
