Job Description

Year 5 Teacher required for a welcoming and supportive Primary School in Gloucester with a GOOD Ofsted rating. This Year 5 Teacher role is unique as it offers the opportunity to work alongside an experienced teacher in a job share setup, working Thursday and Friday every week from half term until the summer holidays. The school is well-established within the local community and is known for its nurturing ethos and strong leadership team. JOB ROLE:
  • Full class responsibilities including planning and marking in line with the National Curriculum
  • Deliver engaging lessons to a Year 4 class of interested, fun children within a supportive Primary School environment
  • Work collaboratively as a Class Teacher within a job share arrangement
  • Maintain high expectations for learning and behaviour across Key Stage 2 (KS2)
  • Assess, record and report on pupil progress in line with school policies
  • Contribute positively to the wider Primary School community
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working as a Primary Teacher, Year 5 Teacher or Class Teacher within a Primary School
  • Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and Key Stage 2 (KS2)
  • Excellent behaviour management skills
  • Experience planning, marking and delivering engaging lessons
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a job share role
  • A committed and flexible approach to working for two days a week
Working as a Year 5 Teacher for Flourish Education also offers you excellent benefits, including:
  • £168.80 to £223.57 per day which equates to £32,916 to £45,352 per annum based on working 5 days a week for a full school year

This position is in Gloucester, easily commutable from Quedgeley, Tuffley, Abbeydale, Longlevens, Churchdown and Brockworth.
