Year 5 Teacher

We are recruiting an experienced Year 5 Teacher to join a Good Ofsted rated Primary School based in Walsall, near the Caldmore area. This welcoming two-form entry school is proud of its inclusive ethos, supportive leadership, and commitment to staff development.

The successful Primary Teacher will take full responsibility for a hardworking and enthusiastic Year 5 class, which includes two pupils with EHCPs who are well supported by additional staff.
The school promotes high standards of teaching and learning, encouraging every child to reach their full potential. This position would suit an experienced Class Teacher with excellent behaviour management skills, a passion for delivering engaging lessons, and the ability to create a positive learning environment where all pupils thrive.

The Year 5 Teacher role:

• Full class responsibilities including planning, preparation, and marking
• Deliver engaging lessons following the National Curriculum
• Support the learning and development of all pupils, including those with additional needs
• Work collaboratively with other Class Teachers and support staff
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all pupils thrive

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) essential
• Proven experience as a Primary Teacher or Class Teacher within Key Stage 2 (KS2)
• Strong understanding of the National Curriculum
• Excellent behaviour management skills
• Ability to differentiate lessons and support pupils with EHCPs
• Experience teaching across Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2) desirable

• £168.80 to £232.57 per day, which equates to £32,916 to £45,352 per annum based on working 5 days a week for a full school year
