Flourish Education is delighted to be recruiting for a Year 6 Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive two-form entry primary school in Coventry on a full-time basis from September for the full academic year.

This is a fantastic opportunity to help pupils prepare for the transition to secondary school while working in a school that is committed to developing both its children and its staff. Whether you're an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking to begin your teaching journey, you'll receive the support and encouragement needed to thrive.

As the Year 6 Teacher, you will take full classroom responsibility, including:

  • Planning and delivering engaging, creative lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 National Curriculum.
  • Assessing, marking and providing constructive feedback to support pupil progress.
  • Monitoring pupil attainment and adapting teaching to meet the needs of all learners, with guidance from your mentor where appropriate.
  • Creating a positive, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
  • Managing behaviour effectively in line with the school's policies.
  • Working collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, colleagues and senior leaders.
  • Building strong relationships with parents and carers, keeping them informed of pupil progress and wellbeing.

To be considered for this Year 6 Teacher role, you will need:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be due to achieve QTS by Summer 2026.
  • A strong understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum (full support will be provided as part of the school's ECT induction programme).
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • A positive, proactive attitude and a willingness to learn and develop.
  • The ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons that inspire and challenge pupils.
