Starting in September 2026, this full-time role will run for the full academic year, giving you the opportunity to become a valued member of the school team and make a real difference during an important stage of pupils' education.

You’ll take full responsibility for your Year 6 class, supporting pupils through their SATs and helping them develop the confidence, knowledge and skills they need for a successful transition to secondary school.

As a Year 6 Teacher, you will:
  • Plan, deliver and mark engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum
  • Deliver differentiated lessons across Key Stage 2
  • Monitor pupil progress and prepare pupils for SATs and end-of-year assessments
  • Provide constructive feedback to support learning
  • Work closely with Teaching Assistants and other school staff
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment

We're looking for teachers who:
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Has a strong track record of teaching in UK primary schools
  • Is confident teaching Year 6 or Upper KS2
  • Has a secure knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum
  • Understands how to support and prepare pupils for SATs
  • Can create a positive, well-managed classroom environment
  • Is enthusiastic, adaptable and committed to getting the best out of every pupil
