This Year 6 Teacher role will involve full class teaching responsibilities, including planning, preparation, assessment, and marking. The successful Year 6 Teacher will play a key role in preparing pupils for the transition to secondary school, delivering engaging lessons, and supporting academic progress across the curriculum.
Due to the nature of the year group, the school is ideally looking for a teacher with strong KS2 experience, particularly within upper Key Stage 2 and previous SATs experience also.

As a Year 6 Class Teacher, your responsibilities will include:

Planning and delivering high-quality lessons in line with the Year 6 curriculum.

Taking full responsibility for the class, including assessment, marking, and reporting.

Preparing pupils for SATs and supporting their academic and personal development.

Creating a positive, well-managed, and inclusive classroom environment.

Monitoring pupil progress and adapting teaching to meet individual needs.

Working collaboratively with teaching staff, support staff, and senior leaders.
To be successful in this Year 6 Teacher role, you will need:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

Proven experience teaching within Key Stage 2, ideally in Year 6 or Upper KS2.

Strong curriculum knowledge and assessment skills.

Confident classroom and behaviour management.
