Flourish Education are recruiting for an experienced Year 6 Teacher to join a supportive two-form entry Primary School in the Caldmore area of Walsall, rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted. This diverse and vibrant school is well-regarded for its inclusive ethos, strong community links, and commitment to preparing pupils for the transition to secondary education. With two classes per year group, teachers benefit from collaborative planning, shared resources, and a culture of teamwork.

The successful candidate will take full responsibility for a motivated Year 6 class, supported by a dedicated teaching assistant. Pupils are enthusiastic, resilient, and eager to succeed in their final year of primary school. The school promotes high standards of teaching and learning, encouraging every child to achieve their full potential.

This position would suit an experienced Class Teacher with excellent behaviour management skills, a passion for delivering engaging lessons, and the ability to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all pupils thrive.

The Year 6 Teacher Role:

  • Full class responsibilities including planning, preparation, and marking
  • Deliver engaging lessons in line with the Upper KS2 National Curriculum
  • Support pupils in preparing for SATs and the transition to secondary school
  • Collaborate with the parallel Year 6 teacher to share planning and best practice
  • Work closely with colleagues, support staff, and parents to ensure pupil progress
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports emotional and academic growth
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – Essential
  • Proven experience teaching within Key Stage 2 (KS2)
  • Strong understanding of the Upper KS2 National Curriculum
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Ability to differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners
  • Experience supporting pupils through SATs preparation is desirable
Working as a Year 6 Teacher with Flourish Education offers:
  • £168.80 to £232.57 per day (£32,916 to £45,352 per annum based on 5 days per week)
