Flourish Education are a family-run education recruitment agency and we place candidates within top schools across the Midlands. It all started back in 2010 when Flourish Education sprouted and the company directors, Grant and Louise, began operating from their home study.
Continued growth and success has meant transplanting ourselves once again. Our flourishing team is now bigger than ever with more education consultants, a larger compliance team and multiple accreditations. You can now pay us a visit us at our offices at Seven House, within the new Longbridge Town Centre.
I studied in Birmingham and graduated from Birmingham City University (it was University of Central England) in the early noughties. Most of my working life has been carving out a career in marketing, particularly in the education and training sector. My previous roles include working in a marketing capacity for a business training consultancy, a health & beauty training school, an Access to Higher Education course provider and distance learning college.
I like to make a positive impact wherever I work. I'm a creative and analytical person, that's why I believe marketing is the vocation that suits me best - it's what I enjoy doing. It's an added bonus if the work I do benefits others, such has helping to place candidates into schools.
Flourish Education is a down to earth, approachable education recruitment agency. The company's vision and values really struck a chord with me (and still does of course) as I really believe that they are important, Safeguarding especially. I like working in a friendly and transparent environment.
We're very enthusiastic about matching the right candidate to the right job. We want to be your first choice when choosing an education recruitment agency. Our biggest strength and what the company has been built on, is our caring reputation. Candidates often refer friends and colleagues to us because of our customer service, friendly helpful staff and our willingness to go the extra mile. Part of my job is to spread the word about Flourish Education and help attract new candidates and clients.
My role is quite hands-on. I work in the marketing department managing both online and offline marketing collateral in order to increase our brand awareness and convert more candidates and clients to use Flourish Education. Upholding our reputation and effectively communicating our brand values is part of the jigsaw. I personally want both clients and candidates to have an excellent experience with our brand. This experience includes everything from the initial potential interest in our agency, through to registration, interviewing and eventually hiring.
I would say that candidates should strive to always keep learning themselves, invest in CPD and possibly volunteer to build up new experiences. Viewing their career as a winding road rather than a straight line is probably more realistic. There are challenges and obstacles in the education sector (like many other sectors and industries) but there will be plenty of opportunities as well.
I enjoy using my marketing experience to help promote the National Trust’s activities and increase community engagement. As a fairly active and relatively social person, I like to regularly spend time in the great outdoors – enjoy running and cycling to keep healthy.
