Flourish Education are recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to work in a Primary school in Solihull to join their support staff team on a long-term basis. The school seek to welcome and cherish every child. All staff are child centred and are willing to go the extra mile for everyone they serve.

Our client wants to appoint a dedicated Teaching Assistant to work with a child with SEN in Year 6 with autism. Responsibilities in this role include supporting the child to meet their individual needs, keeping the child engaged and monitoring their progress.

This Teaching Assistant role is to start ASAP and will continue until the end of the academic year. The position is part time, 3 days per week, Wednesday to Friday.

Required Skills and Experience for this Teaching Assistant role:

  • Experience working in schools in the UK
  • Minimum Level 3 qualification
  • Experience supporting children with SEN
  • Effectively manage the behaviour and engagement of the children
  • Motivating and encouraging the children
  • Supporting with learning and development
  • Working closely with the class teacher
  • Commitment to the role
  • Being flexible when needed

This Teaching Assistant opportunity is located in Solihull which is easily commutable from areas such as Shirley, Hall Green, Marston Green, Acocks Green, Tyseley, Knowle and most areas of Birmingham via car, bus and train. The Primary school also has an onsite car park.
