Flourish’s Father Christmas has been busy spreading some festive cheer this December

We have been busy spreading some festive cheer this December by visiting Primary Schools across the Midlands with Father Christmas, his grotto and a team of helpful elves and handing out books to EYFS and KS1 pupils.
In a report, released last year by National Literacy Trust, they found that 1 in every 5 children, aged 5 to 8 don't own their own book. This is a statistic that touched our hearts and we have been on a mission ever since, to ensure more children in this age group own their own book.
So for the second year in a row, Flourish’s Father Christmas has been visiting Primary Schools and Academies across the Midlands, handing out over 1300 books to EYFS and KS1 pupils.
It’s a highlight of our year, as we love seeing the excitement and anticipation on the pupil’s faces as they enter the grotto and meet Father Christmas to receive their present.
